Glasgow 850 Talk: ‘Greek’ Thomson’s Outside Works and Landscapes

Through his various working partnerships, Alexander ‘Greek’ Thomson designed over two hundred houses, tenements and terraces, warehouses, churches, and funerary monuments. This talk looks at his use of the ‘vista’, with special reference to his relationship with developer John E Walker and North Kelvinside, as well as Thomson’s suburban buildings and marine villas.
