Glasgow 850 Film: 'The Battle of the Styles'

In 19th Century Britain, an ongoing debate was between Classical and Gothic, culminating in the 1855 ‘Battle of the Styles’ over the design of the new Foreign and War Offices.

This, the first of three films from Scotland’s Moving Image Archive, narrated by Tom Fleming, is introduced by Dominic d’Angelo, Chair of The Alexander Thomson Society.
