At Glasgow Cathedral in the 19th Century, a major outcome of renovation plans was to demolish its two western towers.

From the various schemes to restore and renovate Glasgow Cathedral during the first half of the 19th Century, the principal outcome was the demolition of its two western towers in the 1840s, despite protests. In tandem with the Mediaeval Glasgow Trust, Dominic d'Angelo, Chair od The Alexander Thomson Society, looks at what happened.
