  • The Mitchell Library North Street Glasgow, Scotland, G3 7DN United Kingdom (map)

Architects design, but builders build. Meet John McIntyre, who constructed much of 'Greek' Thomson's work on the south side of the city.

Architecture depends not just on architects but on masons, brickbuilders, wrights , joiners and glaziers. In this talk, Dominic d'Angelo, Chair of The Alexander Thomson` Society, introduces John McIntyre, who built much of Thomson's work in the south side, from Eglinton Street to Strathbungo.
